Meet your campus, in real life.

Bump is a proximity-based social app for Western students. Keep the app running in the background, and say something nice to people you met during the day — before the semester slips by!

What is Bump?

University is full of misery (exams... papers... lab reports...) ...with at least cool people you keep almost-meeting — the same face in line at the UCC, the person two seats over in lecture, the stranger at the gym. Bump turns those near-misses into real conversations, without the awkwardness.

We are all suffering here..... Let's drag each other up.

People, not profiles

When two Bump users are online and nearby (~6 feet), the app notices. No swiping, no curated feed — just the people actually around you.

30-hour chats

Every bump opens a temporary chat that expires in 30 hours. Low-pressure, low-stakes. If the spark's there, add each other and keep going.

UWO-only, for now

Verified Western emails only. Built specifically for the rhythm of campus life — classes, libraries, residences, gyms, clubs.

How it works

Bump runs quietly in the background. You don't have to do anything special — it just works as you move through your day.

1

Cross paths

Your phone notices other Bump users nearby (~6 feet) during the day.

2

See your bumps

Open the app's timeline at your convenience. You can message people you bumped into during the day.

3

Say something nice!

Say hi. Share notes. Send a compliment. Let's drag each other up.
